The fine print

Official rules.
Plain and simple.

  1. No purchase necessary. Anyone 18 or older can nominate a garage, including their own. Junk Raider employees and their households aren’t eligible to win.
  2. Service area. The garage must be within 25 miles of Junk Raider’s Charlotte headquarters (ZIP 28269), which includes Charlotte, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville, Concord, Kannapolis and Harrisburg.
  3. How the winner is picked. Junk Raider selects one winner each month based on the nomination and the garage. It isn’t a random drawing or a public vote. We may visit or call finalists before choosing, and we may skip a month if no nomination fits.
  4. Announcement. Nominations are open all month. The winner is announced on the 1st of the following month. Nominations stay in the running for the month they’re submitted.
  5. The prize. A one-time removal of household items from one garage, up to one full Junk Raider 20-foot box truck, scheduled within about two weeks of the announcement on a date that works for both sides. Anything beyond one full truckload is 50% off our normal price, and we’ll confirm that cost before loading it. The prize has no cash value and can’t be transferred.
  6. Items we can’t take. Paint, chemicals, fuel, propane tanks, motor oil, batteries, pesticides and other hazardous materials, plus anything we wouldn’t take on a normal job.
  7. Permission. The winner must own the property or have the owner’s permission. If someone else is nominated, they must agree to accept before we announce them.
  8. Your items. The winner should set aside anything they want to keep before we start. Everything we load becomes Junk Raider’s to donate, recycle, resell or dispose of. We can’t provide donation receipts.
  9. Photos and video. The winner agrees that Junk Raider may photograph and film the garage and the rescue and share it on our website and social media. We’ll blur personal details like house numbers, mail and license plates.
  10. Entrant discount. Every person who submits a nomination and doesn’t win that month gets 20% off one Junk Raider job booked within 30 days of the winner announcement. Can’t be combined with other offers.
